Hey flyrod, right now about the only show in 3 counties is the Cascade. It's up off the Skagit clear up at Marblemount. It's about the only thing clear enough to fish right now. The Sauk, Skagit, and Nooksack may be in shape pretty soon if this clear, cold weather keeps up.

Fished Nugent's today. No love. No signs of life. Water's getting better though. Very fishable.

Fished the Nooksack near deming today. Water level is down, still a little bit high with a huge increase in visibility over just a few days ago. Vis is still not great but is more likely in the 2-3ft range now with a little murkiness left in it.

Fished for about 30 minutes and caught one nice fairly bright chum on a pink and purple jig fished under a float. Just swirled the jig and float through a back eddy and watched it pop under water.

Released the fish and didn't see anything else after that. No jumpers or anything but there are apparently a few chum in there.

Took a picture with my camera phone...

Yeah, i've caught something like what you are describing too. They look kind of carp like with a sucker mouth on the bottom of their head. There's a lot of themthroughout the nooksack, especially the south fork, and you'll snag one every now and then.

yeah i wash i could keep dollies just cause i catch so many i know thier abundant but they must have a reason for the release only policy, and im using homemade spins with some diff color patterns and blades that i would have never really thought productive, but hey there workin like a charm,i'm down to fish anytime that anyone wants to go as my schedule for the time being is open all week long, go ahead and message me for contact info and a spot to meet up,patc. im tryin to post some chum pics but its takin to long, ill try again after i do a sweep.
