been thinking of building one myself but still not sure exactly how. Thinking basically just pick up a counter height table, mounting an old stainless sink in one side and attaching down a big peice of cutting board material to the other side. I found a site that sells the cutting board material in big chunks.  any ideas on where I could find it locally though?

Cash n Carry in the 'Ham has some huge ones.  I picked one up from there that's 18"x24"x1/2".  I don't know if that's the biggest size they carry though.  I'm going to pick up another and custom fit it to sit in the recess in the top of my sink.

The last one I had worked well the base was made out of PVC pipe, but filled with water over the winter and froze...pow!

A good plastics supplier, should have sheets of UHMW or HDPE which is what a poly cutting board is made out of you can get about any size you would like. I have ordered it online in the past since I haven't found anyone local to Whatcom county that sells it... that being said I never looked that hard to find a plastics supplier around here.
