The Confluence Fly Shop Grand Opening!!!!!

May 3rd and 4th, 2013

Friday and Saturday 9am – 1 pm at Nugent’s Corner casting two handers. There will be some really, really good casters here. We’ll have demo rods as well as instructors.

The shop will also be open as well while we're casting on the river.

Friday and Saturday 2pm – 6 pm, at the Shop and Zuanich Park kickin’ it ol’ school on the single handers. You might see 90' of fly line in the air on this one. Again, there will be demo rods and casting instructors. BBQ Saturday at 2:30 pm or so.

Eric Neufeld (Echo, Airflo, Simms) will be here on Friday and Garry Sandstrom (Hardy/Grey's, Waterworks Lamson, Royal Wulff) will be here Saturday. Erik Johnson with Rio and Solitude Flies will be here Friday and Saturday as will Jonathan Knapp with Solitude reels out of Mt. Vernon, Washington.

If you’ve secured that trip to Kamchatka, we wouldn’t blame you for not coming.

Please RSVP at rsvp@theconfluenceflyshop.com .

We look very forward to seeing you!

Safe Travels,
Ed and Scott

Directions – Nugent’s Corner - Take I-5 to Hwy 542/Sunset exit. Go East out of Bellingham as you would go travelling to Mount Baker. You will drive about 20 minutes out of Bellingham. You will come to a bridge over the mainstem Nooksack river. Just as you go over the river, you'll take a right to drop down to the river. There is a sign that "says", public fishing. It's a gravel road. If you pass the turn off and hit the round-about, you've gone too far.

The Confluence Fly Shop is located at 2620 North Harbor Loop, #9, Bellingham, WA 98225. There is a map on the website at www.theconfluenceflyshop.com. There are a number of ways to get to the shop.

An easy way from I-5 is: Exit Meridian and head South (not the North, Costco/Walmart bad side of Meridian). It’s left if you exit I-5 coming North and right if you’re headed South. Take Meridian to Squalicum which is the second light and turn right. After going under the bridge and a 90 degree left bend, Squalicum turns into Roeder. Take a right off Roeder onto Coho Way. We are in the Harbor Mall on your left.

We said there warn't no home like a raft, after all. Other places do seem so cramped up and smothery, but a raft don't. You feel mighty free and easy and comfortable on a raft. Huck Finn
