There have been many openings for Puget Sound rivers lately, as the actual run appears to be larger than what was forecast. Most notably, the Skagit and Cascade have opened for coho fishing, as well as the Snohomish for coho and a portion of the Skykomish for hatchery steelhead. The South Fork Nooksack river opens on October 1 for coho fishing.
